I’ll be honest. I wasn’t sure what to expect going back to Williamsport.
Book launches can be a lot. The performance of it, the signing table, the mild anxiety of not knowing if anyone actually shows up. But Saturday at Otto Bookstore was different. It was genuinely, surprisingly great.
The room had real energy. The kind where conversations go longer than you planned and you lose track of time. That’s all you can ask for at one of these things, and we got it.
I grew up in Lycoming County telling myself I was going to go build something. This book is basically the blueprint I wish I’d had back then. Getting to share it with people from the same area, in person, felt like it meant something.
A big thank you to Otto Bookstore for hosting. John Shableski and the team there created a space that made the whole thing easy to enjoy rather than just endure. Good bookstores do that. They make ideas feel accessible. I’m glad they were willing to make room for this one.
If you missed the event and want a copy, Otto Bookstore still has some in stock. Supplies are limited so if you’ve been thinking about it, now’s the time to go grab one.
